Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have a showroom in Hampstead Garden Suburb. 7 The Market Place, London NW11 6LB. It is advisable to come and look at our doors before you place an order.
2. Are all your doors steel?
Yes all our doors are steel security doors, but some models have a wood finish to give the appearance of being a hard wood door.
3. Can I keep our existing wooden frame?
No, when we fit our high security doors we have to remove your existing frame. Our steel doors have a mul-t-lock cylinder, which sends bolts out in 4 directions. The bolts go directly into the frame which has been concreted in place. It is crucial that there are no weak points on the door & frame which is why we use concrete for fitting
4. Are the doors fire proof?
We have a variety of doors that are fire proof for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours. Additionally, even the doors that aren’t can usually be made fire proof for up to 60 minutes for an additional charge.
5. What is a safety latch?
A safety latch is fitted to the top of the door allowing you to open the door slightly. It will also prevent small children from opening the door themselves.

10. My door is not a standard size. Do they come in any size?
All our doors can be made to measure so we can manufacture any doors to fit your opening. All our doors can be ordered as a single, double or door and a half. Additionally we also manufacture matching side or top units for the opening.
11. How can I get a quotation?
Please provide us with your contact details as well as which door/s you are interested in and the structural opening size. The best way to measure it is using a tape measure from brick to brick (including the fame) and from the floor to the top of the frame. Don’t worry; these measurements do not need to be accurate because if you go ahead and order the door we will send round our fitters to measure up.
12. What is interactive cylinder?
Interactive cylinder is the latest word in keys. The cylinder comes with 5 keys and an interactive card. Only those in possession of the card will be able to make copies. If you lose your key and need to make a copy, remember to take the card with you to one of the 400 MUL-T-LOCK key cutters in the country.
13. Can you make a special design?
Yes, our factory can cater for almost any design and specification
14. Can you arrange for someone to survey the property?
There is no need for someone to survey it. We can fit our doors in any opening. As mentioned above, in order to give you a quotation we just need the measurements of structural opening and the door model.
15. Most of the doors I have seen don’t have glass in them, I need some light in my hallway.
Most of the doors don’t have glass as a security aspect, but we do have a few models such as Royal and Majestic that do. We use toughened security glass on either side of the steel rods running through the design. Alternatively we will be happy to produce side units with toughened security glass in them to go alongside or on top of the door.
